about

"... the crowned and conquering child, who dieth not, nor is reborn, but goeth radiant ever upon His Way. Even so goeth the Sun: for as it is now known that night is but the shadow of the Earth, so Death is but the shadow of the Body, that veileth his Light from its bearer."

"Horus" is Gravesend's second demo.

lyrics

HORUS (Gravesend)

Gather around so I can tell you the story
of your father who was a living god
A mighty ruler with righteousness
who knows to care but no fraud

The story's simple. The battle never ends!

Born to the hands of Osiris and Isıs
In the lands, he was destined to rule
The firstborn was a falcon in disguise
With an eye which can not be fooled

Among many, he became a trusted brother
A protecting shade among the living
Deceived and tortured by his own kin
Soon he will be back for a final war

The story is simple. Even gods can be deceived!

Shattered by the hands of his own brother
Torn into pieces and spread throughout the land
Like the crop, we harvest and collect
He will rise again when they learn how to blend

We will fight!

Seth was his brother with resentment
Torn himself from the body of her mother
To live and breathe for nothing but fight
but Horus was not ready to engage in a battle

A fight Horus gave up the moon
But Seth was eager to fade his light forever
And then Toth rose from darkness to let
Horus recover to restore the balance

Horus will be alive!

Shattered by the hands of his own brother
Torn into pieces, spread throughout the land
Like the crop, we harvest and collect
He will rise again when they learn how to blend

We will fight!

(Solo: Johnny H)

Here is the fight of the century
That no one can bail them out
Brother against another brother
who will fight. No one's there beloved

Souls are torn
(Bodies are ripped apart)

Handing one of his eyes to his father to see the underworld
Now he knows the real wisdom comes from both dark and light
(Gazing upon the sun will only make you blind)
Horus is your father to remind you that you're in an eternal fight
Your neverending duty is to find your brothers and demons in disguise

Shattered by the hands of his own brother
Torn into pieces, spread throughout the land
Like the crop, we harvest and collect
He will rise again when they learn how to blend

We will fight!
